Curated Spotify playlists not decided by algorithms — but by actual listening profiles of social milieus. Distilled from anonymized data according to Pierre Bourdieu's theory of distinction.
The playlists are automatically generated from the anonymized listening profiles of the HabitusMatch study. Each song appears only if it was listened to by at least 5 people from the same milieu (k-anonymity). Milieu assignment is done through AI analysis based on Bourdieu's practice theory and is validated through the questionnaire. No song is manually selected — the playlists are empirical cultural sociology as a product.
